Obit of Mary L. Bentley
Mary Lee Bentley 89 of Elyria, went home to be with the Lord April 11, 2017 surrounded by family at home following a long illness.
She was born in Tifton, GA coming to Elyria at a young age.
Mrs. Bentley was employed as a LPN for Lorain Community Hospital retiring after 30+ years. She also worked at Elyria Memorial Hospital in Elyria.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the senior choir, played the organ, gardening, sewing, crafts, bowling, cooking, singing and a member of OES.
Her memories will be cherished by her children: Eugene E. T. (Mary) King, Bernard (Carolyn) King, Jeanette Williams-Riggins, Juanita Riggins-Carter, Jacqueline Arnold, Jerry T. (Paquita) Williams, Patricia A. Scott, Andrea L. Hall, Alonza L. (Patricia) Williams, 52 grandchildren, host of great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and great great great-grandchildren and a host of friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by 1st husband Alonza L. Williams, 2nd husband William H. Bentley, son Joseph D. Williams, grandson Erick Ray Lovejoy, and granddaughter Myeisha Bodiford.
Friends may call Tuesday April 19th, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Good Shepherd Baptist Church 9th St., Elyria, OH 44035. Rev. Larry Harville will officiate.
