January 11, 1971 - March 14, 2022 

Willie Ray “June” Austin was called to his eternal rest on March 14, 2022, in the presence of his Wife and Son after a short illness.  

Willie Austin was born January 11, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois to Ms. Carrie Lee Austin and Mr. Willie Ray Milton. Willie was affectionately taken in and raised by his Grandmother Ola B Washington also with the help and love of Ms. Josephine Halmon.  

During his youth Willie attended Chicago City Schools for most of his schooling, where he enjoyed playing a wide range of Sports. Willie later received his High School Diploma from Marshall Metro High School, in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating Willie began a career as an Independent Contractor and continued to work as an entrepreneur most of his life. 

In 1993 at the age 22, Willie later moved to Elyria, Ohio where he met Ms. Willie May Witt. After 5 years on their journey of love the two joined in Marriage November 20, 1999. Where the two continued their journey for 23 years.  

In his spare time Willie loved to fish, watch cooking shows, cook, where he was an excellent cook, watch sports, listen to his old but good music, and spend time with family and friends. Willie was a very compassionate person who would do anything for you if he was able to. June had a sense of Humor that could lighten any mood and an affectionate smile that many grew to Love.  

Willie leaves to celebrate his Life and Cherish his memory, his wife of 23 years, Willie May Austin (nee Witt) of Elyria, Ohio, Daughters Autumn  Dionesia Austin of Oakland, Maryland; Kadiedra Shandale Witt-Austin and Camyra Raynise Austin both of Columbus, Ohio and son Sirr Daniel Austin of Elyria, Ohio. Brothers David Rout, and Larry Austin both of Chicago, Illinois. Sisters Ida Halmon, Darlene Owens, Takeshia (Harold) Austin-Lowrey, of Chicago, Illinois and Ramicka Austin previously of Chicago, Illinois currently of Elyria, Ohio. Stepchildren Dwight and Sierra Witt both of Columbus, Ohio. A Grandson Zaiden Omar Dahir of Columbus, Ohio. Grand Mother Ola B. Washington (nee Lee) of Elyria, Ohio. A host of nieces, nephews, and other loved ones. Two Special Cousins Steven Milton and Eric Mitchell both of Elyria, Ohio.  

He is preceded in death by his parents Willie Ray Milton and Carrie Lee Austin; Paternal Grand Father Lee Flora Milton 

Maternal Grandparents, Earnest and Geneva Austin (nee Taylor), Brothers Jerry Austin, Tony Perry, and Alonzo Fields.  

Family and Friends will be received on Friday April 8, 2022, at Carter Funeral Home 127 W Bridge St, Elyria, Ohio 44035. Walk through will start from 10:00 am until 11:00 am and the “Celebration of Life” will follow at 11:00 am. Pastor Ray Robinson will officiate.  Willie will be laid to rest at Brookdale Cemetery 41600 Oberlin-Elyria Rd, Elyria, Ohio. Repast will be at 3pm at The Marcel Hall 117 Oberlin, Rd, Elyria, Ohio 44035 

Mask during Services are required.
