William L Rucker

WILLIAM "LARRY" RUCKER was born in Passaic, New Jersey on November 9, 1945, to the late Viola Tillman & Teddy Rucker.  He attended Passaic Public Schools.  He went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp (USMC-11) in 1974 and was honorably discharged.  He was recently honored for his service in February 2022.
Larry later relocated to Elyria, Ohio where he met the love of his life, Cheryl Wilkerson. Together they spent 20+ years building a happy and prosperous life.  They decided to officially recognize their union through marriage on October 22, 2021.  Larry was a hard worker and provider.  He was employed by, and retired from, Arnco.
Larry loved football.  He was a die-hard Raiders fan.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  On any given summer day, you could find him in the yard building a fire, for all those he loved and welcomed, to gather around and enjoy each other's company.
Larry leaves behind, to celebrate his life, his wife Cheryl Wilkerson-Rucker, his brother Thomas (Marcella) Smalley, Daughters, Vanetta (Thaddeus) Wilkerson-Blackwell, Nanika (Norman) Wilkerson, Wakeria Wilkerson, Son, Jermaine (Tina) Wilkerson, Eldest Grandchildren, Tasharra, Alonzo, Laila, Damarion, De'Nisha, Dontae, Nautika, and Devontez, 13 more grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by both of his parents, his son, his grandson De'quintez Wilkerson, and his great-granddaughter Nova Wilkerson.
He will forever be loved, remembered, and missed!
