Wilder Lynch Obituary

Wilder C. Lynch (87) of Elyria, Ohio transitioned from this earthly life to be with the Lord on Monday, February 28, 2022.
W.C. was born November 30, 1934, to the late Edward and Leota Lynch of Demopolis, Alabama.  The Lynch family attended Friendship Baptist Church where he committed his life to Christ at an early age.
After serving in the military, W.C. migrated with his family from Alabama to Connecticut.  He then moved to Washington D.C. where he met and married Mozelle Cole in April, 1965.  In 1969, W.C., his wife and two children, Theron and Mona, moved to Elyria.
W.C. was employed by William Brothers Builders as a bricklayer and was quickly promoted to Foreman.  He held this position for over 30 years.      
He was a member of Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Elyria, where both he and his wife, Mozelle, served as ushers.
W.C. had many achievements as a Mason and Shriner. One of his greatest enjoyments was managing the Club AL Lahim.
W.C. will be sadly missed by his daughters, Dawn Lynne Jackson of Woodstock, GA, Lawanda Reed of Bridgeport, CT, Mona Lynch of Washington D.C.; sons, Wilder C. Reed of Severn, MD, Theron Lynch of Elyria, OH, Christopher Lynch of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Delia Wilson-Miller of Surprise, AZ,  Abbie Lynch of Stratford, CT,  Barbara Esposito of Greensboro, NC, Debra Lee of Riverdale, GA; brothers, Terry Lynch of New Haven, CT, Joe N. Grayer of Chicago, IL, Grover Miller of Jefferson, AL; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
W.C. was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mozelle, his parents, Edward and Leota Lynch, son, Percy V. Reed and siblings, Eddie, Tony, Mary, Bernice, Gertrude, Nevada, Doris and Inze.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 W. Bridge St., Elyria, OH. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 10:00am at the Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church 614 W River Rd N, Elyria, Ohio.
