Walter John Smith

Walter John Smith was born February 23, 1954 in Elyria, Ohio. He was eased into his final rest at UH Main Campus/ Cleveland, Ohio, on December 16, 2020 due to complications of open heart surgery.

A father of three children in the Detroit area; a brother, to Donald Woodson of Elyria, Ohio; three sisters, Charmaine Castaneda of Lorain, Oh., Delores Woodson and Sabra Woodson of Buffalo, New York.

Walter truly enjoyed “Ole Skool” values, be it was music, movies, television, and slang of his error. He was welled loved by many in Lorain County, and broad by many family members, associates, special friends, and people of his community.

Walter was preceded in death by our loving mother, Lula Mae Smith; his father, paternal grandparents; Garrett Smith and Elsie Lou Smith.

Walter, you was unique in your own special way, we as a family embrace your uniqueness, and loved you for who you were.  Your contribution to the bloodline from which we share will never go unnoticed, nor not be appreciated.  Sincerely and deeply lovingly, your earthly loved ones.
