Valerie Fitzpatrick Obituary

Valerie Gaye went home to rejoice with the Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2022, while being comforted by her children and family.

Valerie Gaye was born on February 1, 1959, in Oberlin, Ohio. She was raised and lived in Elyria, before relocating to Cincinnati, Ohio to be closer to her children. Valerie enjoyed baking and cooking, ceramics, working puzzles, and spending quality time with her family. She twirled the baton with Linda’s Lassies Baton Corp and loved being a brownie and girl scout as a young girl. Gaye had a beautiful voice and loved singing with a group of friends during her younger years. Gaye was always friendly and had love for everyone. She had a way of pulling you in and making you love her just as much as she loved you. Gaye loved to talk about and show off her beautiful/handsome grandchildren.

She left to always cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Shalon (Marcus) Fulton of Cincinnati, Ohio and Dionna L. Fitzpatrick of Cincinnati, Ohio; beloved sons, Frederick D. Fitzpatrick, III of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Phillip M. Fitzpatrick of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, DeSean Fitzpatrick, Aiyana Fulton, KiOndre Fitzpatrick, Alayla Fulton and Elias Fitzpatrick; sisters, Renee DeRamus of Lorain, Ohio, Beverly (Chris) Jones of Elyria, Ohio and Ethel “Jo” Harris of California; brothers, Doyne (Kaylene) Bivens of El Dorado, Arkansas and Jeffrey Bivens of Elyria, Ohio; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
