Tyrone Thorpe Sr.

Mr. Tyrone Thorpe Sr. went home to be with the Lord on May 14, 2021 at UH Hospital in Elyria, Ohio. He was born to Jessie Thorpe and Darlene Thorpe on July 7, 1963.

He was a member of Second Baptist Church/Elyria. Tyrone enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, barbecuing, riding his motorcycle, working on cars, and listening to music.

He was survived by his companion, Laurie Harris; sons, Tyrone Thorpe Jr. and Cory Thorpe, step-children, Jason, Marcus, and grandchild, Meriah Harris; Candice, Bryson, Dytanya, Yolanda Allgood and 2 grandchildren; sisters, Iris Hammons, Gloria (James) Hurdle; brothers, Kenneth C. Thorpe (Candy), Isaiah J. Thorpe (Karen); god-brother,  Jama “ Box” Isreal; and a host of family, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Darlene Thorpe; grandparents, Jessie and Naomi Thorpe; step-mother, Josephine Thorpe, god-father, George Hodge; brothers, Gregory Thorpe and Karlton Mosby; uncle, Kanses “KC” Thorpe.

Family and Friends may be received on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, in the Second Baptist Church, 427 Chapman Ln, Elyria, OH. Walk-Thru will begin at 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon and the "Celebration of Life" will start at 12:00Noon. Rev. Dr. Carl Small will officiate.  Please wear a mask and social distance.
