Deacon Tommie Lee Glinsey Sr.

Tommie Lee Glinsey 80, of Lorain, Ohio gained his heavenly wings on May 15, 2022, surrounded by his children, grandchildren and Clergyman. Tommie was the youngest child of 6 born to the late Earnest Glinsey Sr. And Gladys Glinsey in Tallahatchie, Mississippi on September 11, 1941.
He was educated in Cleveland, Mississippi and later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where he met his first wife Marva D. Johnson (Glinsey) with this union they had five children. He relocated to Elyria, OH where he met his 2nd wife Deborah Noel, with this union they had 3 children. Tommie was employed with General Motors as a trouble shooter for over 35 years where he later retired.
He was a strong man of faith and dedicated his life to the Lord in early 90s, He served faithfully as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. Tommie met Frances in 1990 and later married on September 2, 1990. He and Frances traveled from state to state spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his 8 children Diana Rae (Ronald) Glinsey of Cleveland, OH, Maurice (Nicole) Glinsey of Elyria, OH, Tanya Yvette Glinsey (Calvin) Pearcy of Cleveland Hts, OH, Charisse (Kerry) Jefferson of Euclid, OH, Tommie Lee Glinsey Jr, Tommecca (Frank) Fryson, and Cheris Glinsey-Baines, and Dannetta Noel, 30 grandchildren and host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and godchildren.
Tommie was preceded in death by his wife Frances Glinsey, parents Earnest Sr. and Gladys Glinsey, siblings Sadie, Earnest, James, Auther and Willie James.
Family welcomes friends to attend visitation May 26, 2022, at 10:00 am until 11:00 am following immediately services at 11:00 am at Greater Victory Christian Ministries 559 Reid Ave, Lorain, OH 44052.
