Shaland R Isom

Shaland Renee Isom, 40, of Lorain, Ohio left this Wordly Earth on Thursday September 21, 2023, to be with Our Heavenly Father following a lengthy illness. Shaland was born July 7, 1983, at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake.

Shaland was employed by the Elyria Public Library for many years. Prior to her employment at the Elyria Public Library, she worked at Lorain County Community Fitness Center.

Shaland graduated from Lorain County Community College with an LPN nursing degree. She was also an ongoing learner and could be found taking short term certification classes just to learn new skills.

Shaland was an avid History Buff. She loved all things history. Often you would find her divulged in a book or watching something pertaining to cooking or history.

Shaland had a beautiful spirit, loving and kind to all those that she met. Shaland loved her immediate family immensely.

Shaland will be sorely missed by her Mother Laverne Isom, Daughter Jamilah Isom-Cabrera, Sister Vonisha Isom-Massey, Grandmother Jean Woolfork and other Loving Family and Friends.

Shaland is preceded in death by her Grandfather Vernon Isom Sr and Aunt Debra Woolfork.

The family wishes to thank Mercy New Life Hospice and their staff.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, at 3:00pm at Carter Funeral Home located at 3001 Elyria Ave Lorain, Oh 44055.
