Sarah Walker Obituary

Mrs. Sarah Walker, 94 of Lorain, Ohio passed away on January 26, 2022, at Lorain Community Hospital. Born in Chester, South Carolina to late Richard Worthy and Betty Land.

She was a Sales Associate of Steadman’s Furniture, Server at Tropicana Restaurant in Lorain, Ohio an Aide at Dover Nursing Home for 13 long years in Westlake, Ohio, Dunkin Donuts of Hollywood, Florida. She was a former member of the Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church Chester, South Carolina, Fairfield Baptist Church of Lorain, Ohio where she sang in William C. Bacon Concert Choir for 30 years, Clarkston First Baptist Church of stone Mountain, Georgia where she sang in the Mass Choir was President of the Mother’s Board twice and attended noon day bible study faithfully. She bowled under the league of Clarkston. Till the age of 85. Sarah enjoyed traveling with family and attending Land Sanders Whiteside Worthy Crosby Family Reunion yearly, she LOVED her bingo, and definitely her lottery.

She is survived by her children, Anita Hardy-McCall of Lorain, Ohio, Gloria (William) Bacon, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Alton Worthy of Elyria, Ohio, Bruce (Cathy) Worthy of Lorain, Ohio, Tracy Walker of Norcross, Georgia, Cheryl Walker of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Doris (John) Dalton of Lorain, Ohio, 22 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, 40 great-great-grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her Dad Richard Worthy, Mother Betty Land, Peggy Worthy, Vernard Worthy, Odell Walker and Margaret Walker she had a host of family and friends always by her side, good friends Leona White (preceded in death), Mrs. Geraldine Hines both of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Mrs. Lillie Mae Young of Lorain, Ohio.

Family and friends may visit Friday February 4, 2022, 11:00am until 12:00pm services following at 12:00pm at Faith Ministries Christian  Center 1306 Euclid Ave, Lorain Ohio 44055 Officiating Pastor Isrom.
