Ruby L White

Ruby Lee White, born 05/29/1937 went to eternal rest on 10/31/2022. Mrs. Ruby White was born in Demopolis, Alabama to parents Marcus Jones Jr. and Nattley Jones (Lovett).  Mrs. White was a resident of Elyria, Ohio since 1965 and attended Linden High School. She was a longtime landlord with her husband Bennie White Jr for over 50 years. They had 4 beautiful children Shirley White (Elyria,Ohio), Carmita White (Elyria, Ohio), Bennie (Alysha)White III (Columbus, Ohio), and Curtis White(Franklin,Ohio). She and her husband enjoyed foster parenting baby girls and adopted one. When Ruby was not serving others as a housekeeper, you may find her working with her many plants and flowers inside and outside of her home. Mrs. Ruby White often offered her opinion to those closest to her. 

Mrs. Ruby White was a member of the Eastern Star organization and also attended Second Baptist Church and was once a member of the Mass Choir.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sisters Emma Jones (Demopolis, AL), Lillie Jones and Rosie Eades (Cleveland, Ohio), 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives, family and friends.

She is preceded in death by husband of 55 years Bennie White Jr, son Willie White, granddaughter Zaire White. Three brothers (Eddie Jones, Rev Tar Lee Jones, and Bobby Jones).  Five sisters (Sarah Carson, Julia Johnson, Edna Scott, Mary Carroll, and Corena Glass). 

Services for Mrs. Ruby Lee White will be held on November 07,2022 viewing from 10a-11a, with services to follow immediately after.

Services will be held at Second Baptist Church 427 Chapman Lane Elyria, Ohio 44035 

Burial will be located at Brookdale Cemetery 41600 Oberlin Elyria Rd Elyria, Ohio 44035 immediately following the services.
