Ronald E. Tillman passed away on February 6, 2022. He was a caring and loving father, grandfather, brother, husband, friend, and mentor. He worked for BF Goodrich for over 20 years, but his passion was boxing. He started his boxing career at 11 years old. Ronnie worked hard and became a professional boxer. When his career ended, he decided to become a referee for amateur and professional boxers.
Ronnie Tillman was inducted into the 2007 Ohio State Former Boxers & Associates Hall of Fame. He loved fishing and telling a lot of jokes.
He leaves behind: wife Patricia Tillman, brother Donald Tillman, significant other Gale Washington, Daughters; Sonja Hill, Akela Tillman, Donzell Gilliam, Sons; Quin Gilliam, Allen Donald, Tennyson Thomas, Anthony Clark. 29 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, special nephew Troy Holston.
He has preceded in death by Mother; Stella (ME Robinson) Tillman, Lacey. Father; J.B Lacey, Son; LaRon Tillman, Sisters; Bertha West, Delores Thurman, Ella Tillman, Phyllis Dixon, Victoria Lacey, Mary Tillman. Brothers Tillman; Finis, Herbert, Gordon, Robert, and Raymond.
Family and friends may visit Friday, February 18th, 2022, 10:00am until 11:00am services following at 11:00am at Unity Baptist Church in Elyria, 326 Fuller Rd Officiating Pastor Willie Gardner. Burial to be held at Brookdale Cemetery 41600 Oberlin Elyria Rd in Elyria.
