Ronald Johnson

Ronald Johnson 67 of Lorain, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2022, at his daughter's home following a long illness.  

He was born in Pace, Mississippi on May 13th, 1954, and came to Elyria in 1958. 

He was employed by General Motors, Ford and U.S. Steel in the 70’s.

Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps where he served 4 years.  

He enjoyed fishing, cooking, sports, music, dressing up, western movies and being with his family and grandchildren. 

He is survived by his daughter Angela Dartis of Lima, OH., son Ronald Johnson Jr. Of Elyria, OH., sisters Madelene (Randy) White of Louisville, Ky., Georgette “cookie” Smith of Elyria, OH., brothers Daniel “chubby” Jones of Milan, OH., Kedrick (Kimberly) Jones of Lorain, OH, Nine grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, friend and caregiver Betty Dartis of Lima, OH. 

He is preceded in death by parents Georgia Mae and Daniel Jones, sisters Denise Jones and Sharon Marie Jones.

Walk-Thru service Friday March 11th, 2022, 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Services will follow at 11:00 am at Carter Funeral Home 127 W Bridge St. Elyria OH, 44035. Pastor Bobby Callaway Officiating. Interment at Brookdale Cemetery.
