Roderick Cross Obituary

Roderick “Butch” Bernard Cross Sr. was born on September 17, 1967, in Camden, AR. He moved to Ohio when he was 7 years old.

Butch is survived by his parents Bobbie Nolen (nee Cross),

Doyne Bivens, His wife Yolanda Cross (nee Keith) of 32 years. Three sons Brandon Keith (32), Roderick

Cross Jr. (30), Nuri Cross (11), nine grandchildren, his brother Doyne Muhammad, sisters Yolando Bivens

Elliott, Tamara Bivens Daniels, Jacquelyn Lynette Maxwell, Shicunda Cole and Viola Nolen-Otero, step

siblings Willie Nolan Jr. and Mary Ellen Nolan. He has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and

uncles. Roderick loved to go fishing, cooking, and listen to the blues.

He is preceded in death by his maternal, paternal, step grandparents, mother-in-law, aunts, uncles, and stepbrother.

Service will be held Wednesday August 24th, 2022, at 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am, Carter Funeral Home 127 Bridge St. Elyria Ohio 44035
