Roberta Hildreth, 101, of Elyria peacefully transitioned Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Wesleyan Village of Elyria.
She was born in Demopolis, Alabama and was a resident of Elyria for 77 years.
Mrs. Hildreth was a member of Second Baptist Church of Elyria, where she was active until her health no longer permitted. She was also a Past Matron of Sidonia Chapter 69, Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Hildreth was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, George Hildreth; son, Harrison Hildreth; grandson, Leonard Furnell Hildreth; her parents; and fourteen brothers, and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Demaris Thompson (Ronald); daughter-in-love/caregiver; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, friends, and her devoted church family.
Services will be held at Second Baptist Church Friday, April 19, 2024 with visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. and a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Reverend Dr. Carl P. Small officiating and Reverend Dr. Alessandra T. Poroj doing the eulogy. Interment Brookdale Cemetery.
