RICKY SMALLWOOD

Ricky Smallwood was a husband, father, Stepfather, brother and grandfather. He was born in Elyria, Ohio.

He served his country for 20+ years in the Navy. He retired and continued working for the government.

He was loved by many.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Samqueata Johnson-Smallwood. Four children, Ricky Lee Smallwood Jr. (Ohio), Sierra Bodford (Ohio), Angie Fulgham and Djaun Farley (Illinois) four stepchildren, Kashanta Taylor, Niekeria Mclain, Darlanian Mclain, and Syri Johnson all from Illinois. Seven siblings Veronica Cofield, Calvin, Troy, Tommy, Robert, Audra, and Gwen Smallwood (Ohio). Ten grandchildren Delilah, Demyi, Dearia, Devine, Zayden, Jovdan, Ro Meir, Breyson, Nori Muhummeol and Quadir Muhhummeol. A special niece Briana Smallwood and a host of friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Faith Ann Smallwood and Walter Lee Benson (Ohio).

Celebration of life for Ricky will be held on Thursday January 26th, 2023, at God's Kingdom 423 Washington Ave Lorain, Ohio. Viewing will begin at 9am and services will start at 10am. 

Burial will take place at Brookdale Cemetery 41600 Oberlin Elyria Rd Elyria, Ohio 44035.
