After fulfilling his purpose here on Earth, on May 12, 2022, God has seen fit to call Prince Donald home to his eternal resting place. After a lengthy illness Mr. Donald 85, of Elyria, passed away at Northridge Healthcare Facility, in North Ridgeville Ohio. On Wednesday, April 21, 1937, Prince Donald was born in Whitfield, Alabama to the late Haywood Donald and Pennie Johnson. He lived in the Lorain County area for over 60 years.
Mr. Donald was a faithful member of New Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Lorain. He was employed with the USS/KOBE Steel, OH as a crane Operator and retired in 1999 after 34.75 years of service. He enjoyed time with his family and friends playing solitaire and being an all-time comedian. His favorite song was “Love & Happiness” by Al Green (that he created and sang his version of it) every day until his death.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 64 years Emma Delores Donald (nee Horn), his sons Richard (Mary) Fluker of Canton, Mississippi, Gerald (Valerie) Donald, Gerald (Hali) Donald II of Lorain, OH, Prince L. Donald of Elyria, OH, his daughters Beverly Donald and Regina Donald of Elyria, OH and Min. Dana (Rev. Jeffery) Capers of Elyria, his brothers Johnny (Mary Louise) Donald of Elyria, Woodie (Jimmie) Donald of Lorain, his sisters Mary Gardner and Elvia Gamble of Lorain, 19 grandchildren, and host of great-grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.
Mr. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Haywood and Pennie Donald (nee Johnson) his son Jeffrey L. Donald, his sister Pearl Fenderson brothers John Ward, Joseph Donald, Haywood Donald, Redding Donald, Herbert Pearce, Jim Pearce and Willie George Donald.

Friday May 20, 2022- Viewing 10:00 am-11:00 am with services immediately following at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church 3900 Clifton Avenue Lorain, OH 44055.
