Pearlie H. Kirk, 61, of Elyria, went home to be with the Lord on Friday September 5, 2025, following a long illness. She was born January 8, 1964, to Woodrow Kirk Sr. and Lillie Mae Kirk in Demopolis, Alabama. Pearlie moved to Ohio in the 1980's and lived here ever since.
Pearlie confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized and help out wherever she could. She loved the Lord, spending time with her family, cooking and going to garage sales.
Pearlie worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant for over 25 plus years, and she enjoyed working with the elderly. Pearlie just loved helping people as a whole. She did not have any kids, but she had nieces and nephews that she loved as her own and spoiled them as well. Pearlie famous words "I'm going to spoil them and send them back to their parents" She was strict about kids obeying their parents and she dared any of them to step out of line. Pearlie will be missed dearly by her family and friends, but we know she is no longer suffering on this side.
Pearlie will be sadly missed by her siblings: Amy Richardson (Tuscaloosa, Al), Rosemary (John) Mahone (Elyria, Oh), Florence Bowden (Tuscaloosa, Al), Jacqueline Kirk (Oberlin, Oh), Veronica Kirk (Oberlin, Oh) and Angela (Earnest) McKinney (Elyria, Oh), a special sister Dawn White (Cleveland, Oh), Like a mother Naomi Duvell (Florida), and a special friend Mary Barns (Tuscaloosa, Al) also an Uncle James Johnson Jr. (Elyria, Oh) and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Woodrow Kirk Sr. and Lillie Mae Kirk, three brothers: Woodrow Kirk Jr., Elbert Kirks and Stoney Kirk Sr., two sisters: Shirley D. Kirk and Genevieve James, paternal grandparents James Johnson Sr. and Alice Johnson and maternal grandparents Gus and Alice Kirk and a great niece Miracle Asher.
Family will receive friends for visitation at 10am with a Celebration of Life to begin at 11am on Saturday September 13,2025, located at Original Glorious Apostolic Church 995 Foster Ave Elyria, Ohio 44035.
