Ned Allen Jr

Ned Allen Jr, 65, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away on September 6, 2023. He was born on December 26, 1957, in Columbiana, Alabama, to the late Ned Allen Sr and Jessie Mae Allen (Chaney).

Ned was a devoted family man and had a deep love for the Lord. He worshipped with all his heart and found solace in his faith. In his free time, Ned enjoyed repairing cars, using his skills to fix and improve them.

Ned is survived by his loving children: Chamiika McGill (Adrian Jones), Shalanda McDonald (Mark McDonald), Ned Allen III (Myeshia Allen), Marlon Gnatt, LeKenderick Giles (Lashawnda Giles), Ontesha Giles, LaKisha Wilson, as well as his cherished grandchildren that he loved dearly. He was also a beloved brother to Mildred Allen (Lorain, OH), Ethel Chess (Allen) (Marietta, GA), Annie Griffin (Compton, CA), Lillie Alston (Allen) (Luke Alston) (Pennington, AL), Christine Moore (Allen) (Mableton, GA), Jamie Allen (Lorain, OH), and Steve Allen (Elyria, OH). Ned's long-time companion, Jodi McGill, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family will also miss him dearly.

Ned was preceded in death by his twin brothers, Tommie and Willie Allen, in 1953, his father, Ned Allen Sr, in 1965, his mother, Jessie Mae Allen (Chaney), in 1984, and his great nephew, Jamarcus Blakeley, and nephew, Adrian Hammond.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Ned's life at Carter Funeral Home, located at 3001 Elyria Ave, Lorain, OH 44055 on Friday September 15th, 2023.  The viewing will take place from 12 PM to 1 PM, followed by the services.

Ned Allen Jr will be remembered for his love for his family, his devotion to the Lord, and his skill in repairing cars. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
