Nancy Renee Harvey

Nancy Renee Harvey passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born in Elyria, Ohio on September 12,1957 to Neather and E.L. Williams. Upon being educated in the Elyria City School System, Nancy graduated from Elyria West High School in 1976.  Shortly thereafter, she began her professional career as an Assembly Technician working for various companies throughout the Lorain County area, ending with Western Enterprises. 

Nancy was a loving, selfless, strong, yet gentle spirit who adored her family and friends. Her faith was extremely important to her. She was baptized at an early age and was a lifelong active member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church in multiple capacities, most recently as Deaconess. 

Nancy leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Stephanie Young (Keith) and April Harvey; a stepson, Rashgene Gazi-White (Duane); two grandsons, Keith and Kevin Young; sister Ella Vincent, brother Nathan Williams (Trish); Godsister Michelle Cottom (Clifton); Godchildren Jaquenda Young and Lonnie Wayne Williams, as well as a host of other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by the love of her life for 35 years, Jospeh Gene Harvey, both of her parents, her sister Ella Mae Chandler, her brother David Williams, and her nephew Chris “Boo Boo” Vincent.

Nancy (affectionally known as Beatrice to her girls) will be severely missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends from 10a-12p., Saturday, June 15 at Unity Baptist Church, 326 Fuller Road in Elyria. The Celebration of Life will follow immediately after.
