Michael E Merritt Bivens

Michael E. Merritt Bivens of Elyria, Ohio gained his wings on November 25, 2025. He had his Aunt Ethel by his side when he passed.

Michael was a member of the Elyria Masonic Masons. Michael had various jobs.

When he was young, he played drums at Unity Church and Sis. Rutledge's church in Elyria. He was a fun guy, and he kept a smile on his face. He loved his family.

He leaves behind his daughter Lyina Ragland, a host of aunts, uncles and nieces.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother Sarah Merritt, his father Saul Bivens, a brother Carlos Merritt and his maternal grandparents Jannie Merritt and Bishop Merritt Sr., and his paternal grandparents Icola Bivens and Zoola Bivens.

A visitation will be held on Thursday December 11, 2025, at 10am with a Celebration of Life to begin at 11am located at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church 3900 Clifton Ave Lorain, OH.
