Merissa O. White, 46, was born January 22, 1977, in Detroit, MI to the Late Frederick G. White, and Idelle (Brown) White, she was the eldest of 3 children born to this union, she passed away un-expectantly on April 22, 2023, at her home in Macedonia, Ohio.
Merissa's earlier years of education were spent in the Detroit School System until they moved to Ohio. She graduated from Elyria High School in 1995 and later attended Kent State and Cleveland State Universities. She received her Associates Degree from Remington College in Business Management and in 2019 obtained her Realtor's License in New Jersey.
Merissa confessed Jesus Christ and was baptized at the age of 13 by Pastor John Evans at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist church, where she was a member of the children's choir and the Youth choir and the youth nurses guild.
Merissa leaves to cherish her Memory her sons Jalen and Darrian White, her mother, Idelle White, her sisters Michelle White (Ohio) and Mesha White (nee White) (John) of Texas.
Merissa also leaves to cherish her memory her brother Frederick White (Theresa) of Alabama, Sister Malica (White) Evans (Raleigh) Pittsboro, North Carolina and Sister Lavonda Ganene Stevens, (South Carolina) and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles cousins and countless friends including lifelong childhood friend Courtney (Yarber) Bryant.
Merissa was always willing to help anyone in need she had a very kind and compassionate heart, she was the life of the party and always found ways to make people laugh.
She enjoyed, cooking, fishing, listening to music and bowling. Her favorite saying was "attitude determines altitude"
She was preceded in death by her Father Frederick G. White, her maternal and paternal grandparents and her brother Darrian White.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 1 pm at Second Baptist Church at 427 Chapman Lane Elyria, Ohio 44035, with services immediately following at 2pm with Pastor Carl Small Officiating and Dr. Cunningham will eulogize.
Remains entrusted to Carters Funeral Home Inc.
Interment will be in Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin Ohio, on Monday May 1, 2023.
