Maxine Vaughan-Noble Obituary

On Sunday, May 9, 2021, Maxine {Louise) Vaughan-Noble, loving mother of 4 passed away from this life unexpectedly at the age of 72.

Maxine was born on November 19, 1948, in Elyria, Ohio and attended Elyria elementary schools, until she relocated to Mississippi, then to Chicago and back to Ohio in 1971.Upon, returning to Ohio, she was employed by Ford Motor Company in Lorain, Ohio, beginning October 10, 1973 and she remained there until her retirement in 2007.

Maxine had a happy go lucky personality, she was a very good cook and made some of the best collard greens in town, amongst other delicious dishes. In her free time, she enjoyed watching western movies, crossword puzzles, talking for hours on the phone and being a friendly neighbor. She loved decorating her yard for every holiday and season.

Maxine will be deeply missed by her husband, Frank Noble of York, Alabama;  father, Eugene Cavin; children, Angela(Larry) Vaughan- Mobley of Garland, Texas, Joseph Vaughan of Yazoo City, Mississippi, Torrance Vaughan (Syreeta) of Elyria, Ohio LaTonya Vaughan of Lorain, Ohio; stepchildren, Derrick Robbins, Vanessa Robbins and Charles Robbins, grandchildren, Stacey Mobley, Briana Mobley, Keiondra Vaughan, Torrance Anthony Da’Shaun Vaughan, Jeremey DeAndre’ Kimbrough, Torrance  David James Vaughan, Spe’cial Kumari Vaughan, Torrance Everett James Vaughan III, Josiah Michael James Vaughan, Demonte Migueal Thomas, Alanna Niona Thomas, Endeanna Eris Thomas, Kaliyah Micah Lewis and Jacquita Gholson; siblings, Lowell Cavin, Eileen Andrews, June Caffie, Sandy Matherson, Hope Cavin, Donald Brown,  Ronald Brown, Suzi Humphrey, Dennis Cavin, Tommy Cavin, Gene Cavin, Nancy Cavin and Becky Cavin; Special friends, Claudia Carter, Janet Gerber, and Cynthia Reed; her favorite “fur baby” Phoenix of whom she adored, and a host of nieces,  nephews and other relatives and friends.                

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hope Hampton Cavin; sister, Jean West and brother, Walter Brown, Larry Humphrey and 4 nieces, Tracey Cavin, Keena Cavin, Morgan Nelson  and Shameka Andrews.

Family and Friends will be received on Friday, May 14, 2021 in the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 3900 Clifton Ave., Lorain. Walk-Thru will be from 10:00AM until 11:00AM. The “Celebration of Life” will begin at 11:00AM. Bishop Peter Tower will officiate. Burial will be Brookdale Cemetery. Repass will follow at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Please wear a mask and social distance.
