Mary Francis White

Mary Francis White 75 of Elyria, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday July 16, 2024, at University Hospitals following a lengthy illness. Mary was born December 16, 1948, in Tazewell, Virginia to the late Herbert and Sally Grace Lockett.

She attended Big Creek High School in Tazewell. Mary married Cleophus Robert “Bob” White and to their union three daughters and blessed with one additional.

Mary enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with Her grandchildren especially during the Christmas season where she would bake tons of goodies for family and friends. One of many favorite times was hosting her fish dinner with her church family. Mary loved reading the bible.

Mary was a steadfast and faithful member of Word and Worship Ministries serving on the culinary team, usher board, altar call, youth bible study teacher, and anywhere else in the church she felt the lord needed her.

Mary was a faithful servant of the Lord and was devoted to spreading God’s word and love with everyone she came in contact with. She was a God-fearing woman, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. To know her was to love her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter Sondra Elaine White, two sisters Clara Pannell and Ruth Lockett Daniels, three brothers Nathaniel H. Lockett, Thomas C. Lockett and Robert E. Lockett.

 She is survived and left to cherish her husband Cleophus Robert “Bob” White of 52 years of marriage, two daughters, Tonya Lynette (John) Boone of Elyria, Michelle Terease (Jerome) Riley of Lorain and one son Robert Lee Allen White of Elyria. Six grandchildren Tiffany Hankerson of Augusta Georgia, Tramaine White of Elyria, Tierra Cheers of Lorain, Tyrone White of Lorain, Brianna Williams of Cleveland and Skylar Riley of Lorain. One sister Brenda Curry of Elyria, One brother William Lockett of WV. 15 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

A meet and greet will be held on Monday July 22nd, 2024, at 10am with a Celebration of Life to begin at 11am located at Faith Ministries 1306 Euclid Ave Lorain, OH 44052.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you make a donation to the American Cancer Foundation.
