Majoretta (Bootzie) Brantford 69 of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on January 1st, 2025, in Mercy Hospital following a brief illness. She was born Sunday April 3rd, 1955, in Elyria, Ohio. She has been a resident of Lorain for the past 46 years. She was employed at Kendal of Oberlin, retiring after over 20 years of service. Mrs. Brantford was an avid shopper, she loved driving, spending time with her family, and she was also a huge pet lover. She is survived by her two daughters: Gaea (Tony) King of Westerville, and Monica Diaz of Lorain. Her brother Charles Robinson of Lorain. Her 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Her long-time companion Roy Lawson, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was proceeded in death by her son David C. Smith. Her parents Iva Jean Robinson and Major Smith. Her grandparents William and Etta Washington.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from11am-12pm with a Celebration of Life from 12-1pm at Carter Funeral Home 127 W Bridge St Elyria, OH.
