Louise Cannon Obituary

Louise C. Cannon (Murray) 92 departed this life and entered eternal rest Wednesday January 8th, 2025, at home following a brief illness surrounded by her children. She was born July 6th, 1932, to Estell Marbray and William Murray. Louise grew up in Magnolia, Arkansas where she married Willie B. Harris one child was added Gertie Mae. In 1959, they moved to Lorain OH, of that union came six (6) children. She later married Carter Cannon and three (3) more children were added to the group. She also lovingly raised her great-great grandson Tremaine Suttle.

Louise enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Greater Noel Tabernacle COGIC from 1959-2021. During her tenure at Greater Noel Mother Cannon served as a Missionary, Head and President of the Usher Board, Pastor's Aide as well as working in the kitchen and well known for her flowers and peach cobbler. She was a Deaconess and did whatever her hands found to do. She served Pastor and Mother Taylor well.

In 2021, Mother Cannon joined Point of Grace Ministries where she fell in love with the Pastors and members as she became Mother of the Church.

Mother Cannon will be greatly missed by her daughters, Brenda (Gordon) Tipton, Mary Crum, Kathryn Randle, Esther Harris, all of Lorain, OH, Juanita (Tyrone) Harris of Waldorf Maryland, Gertie Mae of Magnolia, AK, Karen ( Keith) Brank of Elyria, OH, and Diane Cannon of Houston, TX, and son Jason Brannon of Iowa, Brother Earl L. Harris of San Antonio TX, thirteen (13) grandchildren, twenty-two (22) great grandchildren and four (4) great-great grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Estell Marbray and William Murray, Husbands Willie B. Harris, and Carter Cannon, sons Anthony Harris, brothers: John L.B. Paige, Elbert Givings, and Thelbert Givings, sisters: Peggy Wilson, Clara Harris and Gazella Scott, sister-in-law Vivian Harris, Geraldine Brannon and Joyce Mason.

Family and friends will be received on Friday January 17th, 2025, at 10am with a Celebration of Life to begin at 11am at Point of Grace Ministries 6892 Lake Ave Elyria, OH.
