A talented musician, Lorenzo's passion for music was ignited at an early age, nurtured by his father, a drummer and a nightclub owner of the Chauffer’s Club in Louisville, Kentucky. His family moved to Lorain when he was 2. At the age of 11, he entered his first rock group with fellow schoolmates. He began playing in talent shows, school dances and, occasionally, clubs. In Lorain High School, Lorenzo played field drums for the band. He soon developed an interest in the bass guitar and organ. Due to his interest in electronics, he transferred in his junior year from Lorain High School to Admiral King High School. While at Admiral King High School, he formed a group, Luos Soul, which appeared in numerous clubs in addition to playing as the opening group for Jeff Beck and the Yardbirds. After graduation, Lorenzo traveled with Red Top and the Young Family for four (4) years. Lorenzo mastered drums, bass guitar, and keyboards combined with vocals. In 1972, Lorenzo played with The Versailles for one and a half years. After that, he played in many other bands such as Naturally Together, Victory Boulevard and Earthrise. Lorenzo loved music!
Beyond his musical talents, Lorenzo was known for his unwavering work ethic, wonderful sense of humor, and boundless kindness towards others. He was a devoted family man, who sincerely treasured, his children, extended family and friends. Lorenzo relocated to Colorado in the 1990’s. Lorenzo worked at AECOM/URS Energy and Construction until his retirement in 2016. He did electrical, mechanical, structural, carpentry, and environmental management with new construction, maintenance, and nuclear decommissioning and demolition.
