Lillian Ruth Green 72, born on January 4, 1953, passed away after a brief illness on September 23, 2025. Born in Winston County, Mrs. Lillian later migrated to Lorain, OH around the age of 4 .
Lillian attended Clearview City schools and graduated from Admiral King in 1971. Lillian was employed by Lorain Community Hospital as a secretary, later a Corrections Officer for the state of Ohio, and retired from Lorain City Schools as a Safety & Security officer.
Lillian married the love of her life Roger Green January 21, 1977, and they remained married until his passing. Lillian remained a devoted widow.
Lillian enjoyed volunteering, bowling, traveling, corn hole, dancing, community work, grilling, gardening, attending family gatherings, home improvement (DIY) projects, and she was an avid sports fan. She was an active member of The Church on the North Coast where she served as an Elder. She loved reading her Bible and praying over her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Lillian leaves to cherish her memory daughters: Sherry Green (Lorain, OH), Sabbie (Evan Radcliff) Green (Avondale, AZ), granddaughter Azianna Green, brother James (Irene) Carter (Lorain, OH), sisters: Gwen (Kenny) Jackson (Lorain, OH), Cynthia (Tony) Harris (Lorain, OH) Annie Triplett (Lorain, OH), grandchildren Jada, Michael, Isaac, Jazmin, Natalia, Aniyah, Duran, Jordan, Laila, Montiair, Jamere and host of great grands, step children: Alisha White-Brown, Avory Hitchens, Miqa Nolen, and Moniece Nolen.
Lillian is preceded in death by her husband Roger D. Green, sons: Rodric Green, Roger Arion Green and stepson Roger Demons Jr, parents: Rev. Jonathon and Glennie Carter, brothers: Rev. Dwayne Carter and John A. Carter, granddaughter Sharae Green, and special daughter in-law Melinda Green.
A visitation for Lillian will be held on Thursday October 2, 2025, at 10am with a Celebration of Life to begin at 11am located at The Church of the North Coast 4125 Leavitt Rd, Lorain, OH 44053.
Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park 44805 N Ridge Rd, Amherst, OH 44001.
