Lillian Baldwin Obituary

Lillian Clyde Hall Baldwin was born December 5, 1931, in Lumpkin, Georgia, to the late Eula Mae Crimes Hall and Joseph Hall. Lillian received her education in

Lumpkin Ga. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and joined Green Grove Baptist Church and was a dedicated member as young person. In her early

young adult Christian journey, she was baptized into the fellowship of the Glenville SDA Church in September of 1961 by Elder C.D. Brooks. She faithfully served

on the Deaconess Board for several decades in the Glenville, Southeast, Temple of Praise and Lorain Lakeview congregations from the 1960’s until the last

decade or so when her health began to decline. Lillian was united in holy matrimony on July 27, 1952, to the late Frank Baldwin in Lumpkin, Georgia.

The couple moved to Syracuse, NY and relocated in 1953 to Cleveland, Ohio. To this union six children were born: Lillian, Francine, Sandra, Allen, Emmanuel, and Rebecca.  Her life exemplified a virtuous woman whose price was far above rubies. She was committed to her husband Frank for almost 68 years – until he passed in February 2020. She loved to cook, sew, crochet and clean. Her family and others loved to put their feet under her table when she cooked for the holidays! She was strict and capable disciplinarian who did not spare the rod when her children were misbehaving. However, she had a good sense of humor and loved a good laugh.  She was a loyal employee to Cleveland Board of Education for over 20 years and for Lorain Community Action for over 15 years. She leaves to mourn her children Allen (Valarie) Baldwin, Emmanuel, Rebecca (Steven) Nicholson. Grandchildren: Donald (Ebony) Wallace, Alexandria Wilson (Dale) Sturgeon, Carise Baldwin, Ashley (Vernon) Reed, Richard Hart Jr and David Nicholson. Great grandchildren Donald Wallace III, Jayden Coleman, Dylan Knight, Angel Reed, Ronald Sturgeon, Anaiah Reed and Allen Reed. Siblings: Zelma   Baldwin, Earnest James Miller, Richard (Jesse) Hall and Eula (Henry) Radney, also, she leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Baldwin, Earnest James Miller, Richard (Jesse) Hall and Eula (Henry) Radney, also, she leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Her children Lillian, Francine and Sandra proceeded her in death. In addition, these siblings: Felton, Washington, Rudolph, and Dorothy proceeded her in death.
