Leonard “Boobie” Walker, 62, of Lorain, Ohio transitioned from this life on February 21, 2021 from a lengthy illness.
Leonard was born on April 24, 1958 in Lorain, Ohio to Willie Walker Sr. and Martha (Bethly) Walker. He attended Admiral King High School and worked for Ford Motor Co. amongst other various jobs.
Leonard was a local singer and could sing his “behind” off. He loved singing as this was his passion. He sang at many funerals and was also a previous member of a band known as “The Fabulous Techniques”.
Leonard had a great heart and a wonderful spirit. He loved to make you laugh. When you saw Leonard, he was either smiling or gracing you with a song someone may have requested him to sing.
Survivors include his sons, Manuel Noble of Lorain, Dante Burnette, Sr. of Columbus, Leonard Walker, Jr. of Lorain, James Lamont Walker of Lorain; his daughters, Melinda Walker of Indianapolis, In, Beverly Walker of Lorain; his brothers, Willie Walker, Jr. of Lorain, Wilbert Walker, Sr. of Erie, Pa, Terry Walker of Elyria; his sisters, Clonie Walker of Lorain, Rosie Walker of Lorain; several grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Willie Walker, Sr., and his mother Martha Walker.
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 4, 2021, for a Walk-Thru from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon and the “Celebration of Life” will be private (immediate) family only.
