Lenore Lind Obituary

On April 1st, Lenore Mildred Lind passed on to be with the Lord at the age of 65 after battling various illnesses. Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Rose Leona Palmer and David Black, Lenore and her sisters Elizabeth Eisom, Wendy Davis, and Bobbie Spillmon were raised by Mildred Robinson and grew up in the northeast Ohio area on Clinton Ave, and then residing on Warden Ave. in Elyria.

Lenore Lind had previous employment at NASA, a nurse's aide, and attended college to be a beautician. A loving mother and supportive wife, Lenore and Jose raised their children Jeremy, Michael, and Demein, and also enjoyed babysitting her many nephews and nieces. In 1991, she fell ill, and following a misdiagnosis, survived death and endured a year of rehab and recovery, and returned home.

Within this journey, she truly discovered her love of God through her life-long friends Venita Gilchrist, Annebelle Butler, and Evangelist Doris Williams. The strength, perseverance, selflessness, and meekness she exemplified through tough hardships made her a living testimony.

Overcoming her handicap, she developed the power to walk again and rely less on her wheelchair. In 1994, she was baptized at Original Glorious Apostolic Church, cementing it as her home church, where she was a devout member for nearly three decades. In 2009, she was named president of the OGAC Missionary department, continuing her fellowship, encouragement, prayers, and blessings to not only the church body, but to many who were sick and shut-in. With her giant heart and overwhelming compassion, Lenore always gave back the kindness and charity she was taught and shown.

Lenore Lind is survived by her sons Michael and Demein Lind, and her grandson Ezekiel. An announcement for her Going Home Memorial will be announced in the coming days.

She was preceded in death by her father David Black, Foster Parents Mildred and John Robinson, and her beloved eldest son Jeremy Robinson.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 3rd, 2023, at Original Glorious Apostolic Church located at 995 Foster Ave Elyria, Ohio 44035.
