Kriss Board was called home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
She was born in Elyria, and graduated from Elyria West High School, class of 1981. Her energetic spirit as a cheerleader remained an endearing lifelong attribute.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Kriss served her country from 1982 to 2002, retiring as MSGT (Master Sergeant). She continued her highly accomplished medical career until 2020, during which time she earned numerous honors and awards; including the distinguished credential CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse).
Kriss was a devoted member of Second Baptist Church in Elyria, which served as an early foundation to her profound love of God and family.
She is survived by her sisters, Cynthia (Joseph) Thompson of Amherst, Tonetta (Kirk) Smith of Elyria, Audrey Young of Elyria, Ruby Evans of Grand Rapids, Michigan, brothers Timothy Board of Lorain, Calvin (Penni) Board of Clarksville, Tennessee, a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Clarence and Ann Board, and brothers Jerry, Michael and Aundra Board.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Second Baptist Church, Elyria. Family hour: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Memorial services beginning at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Second Baptist Church, Elyria YOUTH DEPARTMENT.
Full honors military burial will be held in Rittman, Ohio at a later date.
