Kevin Lee Jackson Sr

Kevin L Jackson Sr. 62 entered his rest on November 1, 2022. He was born October 10,1960 in Elyria, OH. He married his childhood friend Leyda and have been married 41 years. At a very early age, Kevin developed a love for cars and working on them and started his career at Bill’s Auto Body as a mechanic and later went on to Rapid Auto Body where he has worked 40+ years up until the time of his passing.

Kevin loved watching westerns, listening to music and fishing. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing chess, cards, back gammon and greedy with his wife Leyda and spending time with family. He also loved to grill and eat while he was cooking because he took pride in his fall off the bone ribs. 

Kevin will be missed by his wife Leyda Jackson Lorain, daughter Michelle Jackson Elyria, and son Kevin (Desiree) Jackson Jr. Elyria, grandchildren, siblings, Robert (Jackie) Jackson of Toledo, Regina (Alex) Shockley Elyria, Tammie Jackson Lorain, Troy (Cassandra) Jackson Elyria, Jamie (Paula) Jackson of TX, Deidra Jackson Lorain and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his son Kelby Lyle Jackson, mother Nettie Mae Jackson, brothers Jackie Jackson and Jon Lyle Jackson, sister Joanne “Susie” Jackson.

Services will be held on 11/10/2022 at Mount Zion Baptist Church 614 West River Rd N Elyria, Ohio 44035. Viewing will be from 10a-11a with services following immediately after. 

Burial will be located at Brookdale Cemetery 41600 Oberlin Elyria Rd Elyria, Ohio 44035.
