Juanita Moses-Griffin Obituary

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

                                                                                                II Timothy 4:6-7(KVJ)

Mrs. Juanita Moses Griffin, daughter of the late Mr. Homer Moses Sr. and the late Mrs. Lillie Mae Parkman Moses, and her Daddy who raised her, the late Mr. Dan Lee Moses, Jr., was born on April 28th, 1946, in Muscogee County, Georgia.

Juanita was educated in the public school system of Stewart County, Georgia, where she was a graduate of the Lumpkin High Industrial Class of 1965.

On Friday, May 30th, 2025, Juanita departed this earthly life at Dublin Methodist Hospital in Dublin, Ohio.

Juanita was a certified nurse’s aide by profession, whereas she worked at St. Luke and Wesleyan Village for 30 years before retiring.

Juanita was very sweet and loving to everyone she came in contact with. To know her was to love her and she will be missed dearly.

Juanita was united in holy matrimony on December 10th, 1976, to the love of her life, Mr. Prince Griffin, and to this union two sons were born, Demetrius and Mark.

Juanita was a faithful member of Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Oberlin, Ohio where she served as church mother until her health began to decline. On her visits home to Georgia, she still enjoyed studying the Word with one of her home ministers.

In addition to her husband and parents, two sisters, Olivia Higgins and Jacqueline Johnson, two brothers, Homer Moses Jr. and Raymond Moses and a niece Tanya Higgins, all preceded her in death.

Juanita leaves to cherish her many beautiful memories: her daughter, Mrs. Antoinette Robinson of Louvale, Georgia, two sons, Mr. Demetrius (Adriese) Griffin of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Mr. Mark (Jennifer) Griffin of Delaware, Ohio, her nine grandchildren: Marcus Rhine, David Robinson, Jasmine Robinson, Lorenzo Love, Trevon Noel, Davion Noel, Marquan Noel, Demetrius Griffin Jr., and Maddox Griffin, one sister-in-law Mrs. Beverly Griffin of Sparta, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday June 12th, 2025, at 12pm at Christ Temple Apostolic Church 370 West Lincoln St in Oberlin, OH
