John Avery (Kink) Edwards 71, passed away peacefully in his home on June 15, 2021. He was a veteran and served in Vietnam War and was discharged with Honorable. He went to Elyria City Schools. He was well loved by family and friends. He always was quick to give and slow to take. He helped a mass of people through their hard times.
He was proceeded in death by his father, William Edwards and mother, Bertha Mae Woolbright; sister, Gwennith White, and Marcia R. Edwards; brother, Reginald Edwards.
He leaves to cherish his memories are his brothers, William (Costella) Edwards, and Stanton Edwards; sister, Rhonda (Kenneth) Jones; sons, John Donald, Shawndell (Elaine) Donald, Tony Harvey; daughter, Precious Wulff; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; host of nephews and nieces; close friends, Jeff Perry and Loretha Shelton, they had a bond that couldn’t be replaced.
Family and Friends will be received on Saturday, June 26, 2021 in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel/ Elyria, 127 West Bridge St., a walk- thru will begin at 1:00PM until 2:00PM and the “Celebration of Life” will follow at 2:00PM. Repass will be held from 3:00PM until 5:00 PM at The Salvation Army, 716 Broad St, Elyria.
