Remembering the Life of John Lewis Armstrong II (Jon Jon)
John Lewis Armstrong II (Jon Jon), 42 of Lorain passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 3, 2021 in Lorain. He was born on October 28th 1978 in Lorain Ohio where he was raised. He also spent 16 years living in St. Petersburg Florida with his wife Lila (Melissa) Armstrong and children.
Jon Jon enjoyed spending time with his four amazing children, John (Jaer), Ivyanna, Payton & Liam. He also enjoyed shopping, fashion, music, and gained a new love of working out. He was working on getting his USA Boxing Coaches License. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed laughing, being goofy and was always seen with his smile and dimples shining bright. He was caring, funny, and would do anything to help the people he knew and loved.
John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Irene Starks. His paternal grandparents, Larry and Susie Armstrong and brother Jason Smith.
John is survived by his wife Melissa Armstrong (Las Vegas), his children, John (Jaer) Lewis Armstrong III (Las Vegas), Ivyanna Janae Armstrong (Florida), Peyton Rylee Armstrong (Florida) and Liam DeWayne Tuner (Florida). His amazing parents, Mother, Patricia Ann Starks and Father John Lewis Armstrong Sr. and stepfather Wayne Brewer all originally from Lorain. His mother & Father in Law Charlotte and Wilfredo (Pops) Guzman (Lorain) . His siblings; Raymond Starks, Christopher Starks (Debbie), Shameka Stewart, Aja Williams (Julian), Ayanna Smallwood, John Edward Armstrong, John Alexander Armstrong, Topeka Charleton, Darlene Brown, Bobbie Smith, and Lynn Brewer. He also had his childhood friends - That have turned into brothers; John “Fat John” Lovejoy (Lorain), Nate “Littleman” Watkins (Lorain), Rome (Florida) and Joc (California). John also had a host of nieces and nephews that he adored and loved.
Services have already been hosted by Carter Funeral Home at the Church of the North Coast by Reverend John Jackson on Thursday May 13th 2021. His family would like to thank everyone for their continuous love and support for their Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Cousin. May he continue to forever rest peacefully.
