John Henry Kimbro

John Henry Kimbro, 57, of Elyria passed away in his home on Wednesday August 31, 2022, following a courageous journey with cancer

He was born in Elyria, Ohio on April 26, 1965, to Harold “Gene” Kimbro Sr., and Willa B. (nee) Finch Kimbro. John was a certified mechanic and a devoted family man. He enjoyed watching football, basketball, boxing and loved listening to old-school music.

John will be missed by his wife, Kisha Kimbro of Elyria; his beloved children, Antuan (Mindy) Kimbro, Jonathan Kimbro, Paris Kimbro, Christopher Kimbro, Nickolas Shores, John Kimbro Jr., Reggan Kimbro and Johnnie Kimbro, of Lorain County; Sisters Montina Kimbro of Elyria, Wanda (John Tericko) West of Lake County, Ohio, Cheryl Anderson of Oberlin; Brothers Harold (Darla) Kimbro Jr. of Lorain, Charles "Wade" Kimbro, Juan Kimbro, Rodney Gibson, and Tyrone Brannon, all of Elyria and Jason Brannon of Texas; Seven- teen grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold “Gene” Kimbro Sr., and Willa B. (nee) Finch Kimbro; Grandparents Jesse L. and Lucille Kimbro (nee) Woodard, Montina Finch (nee) Williams, and Frank Finch, Jr. 

Friends may visit Friday, September 9, 2022, 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at GODS Kngdom, 423 Washington Ave, Lorain, Ohio 44052.Bishop Charles Howard will officiate. Interment will follow at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.
