Joe Robert Wade Jr. 82, of Elyria, OH transitioned on Thursday October 9, 2025. Born January 17, 1943, to Alexander Wade and Josephine Capers Kelly.
Joe was a graduate of Kinterbish High School in Cuba, Al. Joe worked at Sterling Foundry, Laid Law and Lorain County Transit where he retired from. Joe loved going to Jamie's Flea Market (every Saturday), fishing, watching football, playing his lottery and throwing jokes to everyone.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory to his wife of 63 years Mary Wade, children Gloria Reed of Freeport, NY, Condy Wade of Yukon, OK, Joe Ann Wade of Elyria, OH, Renee Wade of Euclid, OH, Vernita (Adrian) Newson of Lorain, OH, two bonus sons Greg (Nancy) Waters of Elyria, OH, Willie Rowe of Whitfield, AL, siblings Josephine Kelly Johnson of Port Gibson, MS, James (Deloris) Kelly of Anguilla, MS, Minnie Kelly Banks of Las Vegas, NV, Margret (Alvin) Coleman of Chesterfield, VA, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Alexander Wade, Josephine Capers Kelly, daughter Jeanette Graham Price, siblings Annie Lee Chess, Fannie Kelly Woods, Henry Johnson, Jonnie Mae Kelly, Eugene Kelly, Willie Kelly, Ruthie Kelly and granddaughter Rayven Newson.
Family and friends will be received on Friday October 17, 2025, at Carter Funeral Hone 127 W. Bridge St. Elyria, OH 44035 from 10am until time of service at 11am.
