Jaymone Lamar “Mone” Whitaker born on September 11, 1979 in Lorain, at the age of 40, he transitioned into eternity on May 27, 2020.
He loved sports at the age of 6 years old, he began his journey as an athlete. He played basketball, baseball, and football. He was a star player. Before, Lebron James it was Jaymone Whitaker. Everybody loved to see him play and the newspapers wrote headlines and he was the talk of the town. He was an extraordinary athlete and a true legend.
He was a funny dude who loved to laugh and crake jokes. He loved music, dancing, and playing video games. He loved his family; kids, grandchildren and most of all his Mama.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Donna Lou Whitaker; wife, Latasha Whitaker; daughters, Jayonna Whitaker, Azzyonna Whitaker; sons, Jaymone Whitaker II, Jaquan Whitaker, David Whitaker, Ja’Kobe Whitaker, grandchildren, Kenadrew Clark, ,Desmond Lewis, Jaymire Whitaker, brother, Jeffery Whitaker, sister, Leslie Whitaker, Niece, Ny’Ema Dickson; Paternal grandfather, Etoy Whitaker; special friend whom he loved dearly, Valarie Carlton and a host of stepchildren, aunts, uncles, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Williams and paternal grandmother, Azzie Lou Whitaker.
Family and Friends may be received on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church 3900 Clifton Ave, Lorain, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p. m. Walkthrough only: Sharing Love at a distance!!! Service starts at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
