James (Jim) Qualls

James E (Jim) Qualls, 85 was born June 2, 1935 in Ripley, TN. Sunset on November 21, 2020. One of 12 boys and 5 girls. He attended school in Ripley, TN and came to Elyria in the 50’s. James was employed at Harshaw Chemical plant retiring in 1992.

James loved baseball, riding his motorcycle, and bowling. He was president of the Iron Stallion Motorcycle Club, and was inducted into the Elyria Bowling Hall of Fame.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Willie Mae, sons James Jr, Anthony (Michelle), Stanley, Larry (Fannie) all of Elyria, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 8 siblings and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eddie Lee and Lydia (Moody) Qualls.

A private service will be held for the family ONLY. A graveside service will be held at Brookdale Cemetery, 41600 Oberlin-Elyria Rd/ Elyria on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 12:00 Noon. Deacon James Williams will give words of comfort. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, you are required to wear a MASK and Social Distancing is a must.
