Gloria Cash Obituary

Mrs. Gloria Jean Cash was born on December 20,1953, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late Mr. Carl & Mrs. Willie Mae Walrond also of Youngstown, Ohio. She was commonly known as and affectionately called “Glo” by those who knew her best and loved her most.

     Gloria attended and graduated class of 1971 from North High School in Youngstown, Ohio. She later in life decided to further her education and began her collegiate career.  In 2014, after completing a degree program, she earned and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Compelled by her unwavering faith and carried by a strong will to help others, she also simultaneously in 2014; began her journey in Ministry. She was licensed at the church she regularly attended: The Full Gospel Tabernacle Ministries of Lorain, Ohio. She also regularly volunteered serving her community by way of the pantry at her local assembly.

       She was most recently a long-term employee fulfilling the role of the Senior Program Director at the Valor Home in Lorain Ohio. Gloria mostly enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading, shopping, watching good movies, and spending time with her loved ones. She married Mr. Phillip K. Cash on December 19, 1998, to present.

    After a strenuous and lengthy battle with a severe illness, she peacefully transitioned from time into eternity on this December 3, 2024. Both of her parents, Mr. Carl and Mrs. Willie Mae Walrond, preceded her in death, along with her son: Edward Paramore, Jr., two sisters: Francis Dallas of Miami, Fl, and Monica Jones of Providence, RI. Two brothers: Wayne Van Allen of Springfield, MA, and Ivan Walrond of Buffalo, NY.

To cherish her loving memory, she leaves behind her loving husband, Mr. Phillip K. Cash, three Daughters: Nikki, Twila, & Claire Cash. Four sons: Tyrone Cash, Maurice Carroll, Dwight & Caun Colvin. Three sisters: Mrs. Joyce Vandiver, Minister Pauline Moore -Adkins of Tampa, FL, and Minister Doris Bournes of Stanford, CT. Near and dear to her heart, she pardons the company of an extraordinarily special relationship with her niece, who is like a daughter, sister, and best friend: Mrs. Anisha Bourne-Davis of Atlanta, Ga. Several grandchildren, a whole host of cousins, nieces, nephews, loved ones, and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday December 14th, 2024, at 12pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1pm located at Carter Funeral Home 3001 Elyria Ave Lorain, OH.
