Gladys Dean Barlow, 74, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at University Hospitals Bedford. She was born to the union of Marie and James C. Barlow on March 1, 1947 in Henning, Tennessee.
She was a member of Woodford Avenue Ministry of Reconciliation COGIC of Elyria, Ohio. Gladys was a strong woman, full of love and compassion. Gladys knew no stranger. Prior to retiring, she worked in the medical field as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) serving in nursing homes, home health, hospitals, and prisons.
Gladys leaves the following to cherish her memory: her husband, Jeremiah Charlton; two daughters, Evelyn Bruce and Gloria Marr; nine siblings, James (Betty) Barlow, Calvin (Felica) Barlow, Clay (LaVern) Barlow, David (Roslyn) Barlow, Preston (Barbara) Barlow, Martha (Fred) Bonds, Dianne Armington, Mary (Calvin) Cole, Angela (Lonnie) Montgomery; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; along with other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Annette Jackson; her sister, Shirley Qualls; and her brother, Robert Barlow.
