George “Ricky” Kimbrough made his transition on Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 after a lengthy illness, at his home in Akron, surrounded by his family. Ricky was a man with a great sense of style and humor. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, watching westerns and listening to music. He leaves to cherish his memory, his significant other: Jenna Stansfield of Akron, sons: Eric Carter Kimbrough (Venetia) of Atlanta, GA, Kim M. Kimbrough of Elyria, Rikiji Bowles Kimbrough (Samantha) of Akron, daughters: Sonya Kimbrough Williams, Rochelle D. Kimbrough both of Elyria, Bridgett Fields of Lorain and Monique Gaillard of Atlanta, GA, 5 children who held a special place in his heart: Kyla, Kynnedi, Kyree, Sky and Kellie Stansfield of Akron, brothers: Herbert J. Kimbrough (Deborah) of Oberlin, Gregory A. Kimbrough (Margaret) of Lorain, sisters: Niecey M. Rodgers (Reginald) of Mobile, AL and Nancy J. Kimbrough Valentine of Lorain, 16 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents: General W. Kimbrough and Delcenia Kimbrough, brothers: General L. Kimbrough, Gerald Kimbrough and Gary Kimbrough, sister Betty Ann Kimbrough all of Lorain. Friends may call on Tuesday, August 13th, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 3001 Elyria Ave., Lorain, OH 44055.
