Eunice White Obituary

Eunice Mae White made her transition to glory on May 20th 2020.She was born in Marengo County Ala. Oct, 22nd 1932 to Jessie and Theola Wright.Raised on the family farm she was no stranger to hard work. She attended John Essex High School where she was a star forward on the basketball team. She accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and attended Bethel Baptist Church. After Church she would accompany her father to Gospel singing events. Eunice was often called upon by her proud father to sing a solos at these events. Eunice moved north to explore employment opportunities. Arriving in Elyria she met and married Brodie Spencer White. The couple had one son Darrell A White. She was well known for her famous caramel cake that everyone loved.

She served faithfully at Bethany Baptist Church. Filled with a generous heart, she helped where ever needed. Eunice visited the sick in hospitals and nursing homes and gave an encouraging word where ever she went.Eunice was employed by Peerlis Laundry & Dry Cleaners 1953, General Motors 1967, and Vectron 1990.

She is survived by her son Darrell (Lori) White Sisters Annie Simon, Retha Simmons, Fannie Simmons, Beatrice (Willie) Baker, Brothers Tommy (Susan) Ruffin, John (Linda) Simmons and Melvin Simmons. Stepdaughter Patsy Petty, Two granddaughters, Christina Jackson and Denise Goodie. Great granddaughters Mariah Santiago and Joi Holman. Great great, granddaughter Aviana Lewis, god son Paul Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by husband Brodie White parents Jessie and Theola Wright, sisters Rosa Smith, Margaret Jenkins, Pearl Russ, Theole Simmons, and Dorothy Simmons. Brothers Aaron Wright Sr. Clarence Wright Sr. Joe Wright, and Eugene Hendon.

Family and Friends may be received on Thursday, May 28th 2020 at Bethany Baptist Church 334 17th St. Elyria, Ohio 44035 from 5pm - 7pm
