Eric Treyvon Arnett, 26, went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, August 19, 2024. He was born on Monday, June 29, 1998, in Elyria, OHto Vanessa Arnett and Jerome Capers, both of Elyria.
Eric was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church, in Elyria, OH, where he was baptized at an early age, under the Pastoral leadership of Pastor Larry D. Harville. He was a drummer for the church and was also a member of God’s Property Praise Dance Team.
Eric attended Elyria City Schools, where he was in the band in Jr. High School. He wrestled and played football for Elyria High School. He became a caddy at Elyria Country Club and was voted Caddy of the Year in 2015.
Eric loved being a dad. Eridhan was his pride and joy! He also loved fishing, golfing, laughing, driving, hanging with his friends and boxing. He loved his granny’s cooking, and family gatherings were important to him. Rapping was a passion for Eric at a young age, and he was great at it. He also loved making memories with his family at Project X.
Eric (Shabba, Big Papa, Papa, Pops, Big Eric, Big E) leaves to cherish his memory, both parents, Vanessa Arnett of Lorain and Jerome Capers (Kiara) of Elyria; his daughter Eridhan Arnett and her mother Je’Lesa Whitfield both of Elyria; his sisters Ke’Asia, Amiyah and Laila of Elyria, and Ayana Folmar of Cleveland, OH; and one brother Ja’Cai Capers of Elyria; his grandparents, Erma Arnett, of Elyria, Johnny Parker Jr. of Lorain, Robert Wren Jr. of Bellamy, AL, Step Grandmother Irene Dixon of West Helena, AR; his Aunt Latoya Capers of Elyria; Uncles, Robert Capers and David Terrance both of Elyria; his two special Aunts, Johnetta and Ermetta Parker both of Elyria; two very special cousins, Anthony Parker and E’Leeyah McCall of Elyria; one Great-Great Aunt Sandra Henry of West Helena, AK; two Great-Great-Great Aunts, Aunt Thudy Banks of West Helena, AK and Aunt Viola Watson of Elaine, AK; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
He was preceded in death by, his maternal great-grandparents Lee Vora and Nathanuel Carlton; maternal great-grandfather, Robert Arnett; his cousins, Jaeden-Lee Parker and Lacey Snyder; his aunts Georgia Crenshaw, Carla Arnett, Valerie Carlton; his uncle George Arnett; his maternal grandfather Willie B. Dixon; and his paternal grandmother Georgia Lee Capers.
The family will receive family and friends Friday August 30th, 2024, at 10am with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11am located at Good Shepherd 244 9th St Elyria, OH.
Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery 41600 Oberlin/Elyria Rd Elyria, OH.
