Eddie Sampson 91, passed away after a lengthy illness on January 2, 2022. He was born on January 3, 1930, in Livingston, Alabama to Willie Giles Sampson and Charlie Sampson.
Eddie was an Army Veteran who served during the Korea Conflict and Vietnam War. Receiving his Honorable Discharge after 12 years of service. He was formally employed by U.S. Steel before retiring. He was also a Lorain Auxiliary Police officer.
He will truly be missed by his children. Eddie Sampson and Robert Sampson of Elyria, Roberta Noble-Velez, and David (Wanda) Noble of Lorain, Arthur Noble of Cincinnati, Sheila Sampson of Lorain, Delora Sampson of Atlanta Georgia, Emmy Sampson of Columbus and Carl Anderson Sampson of Lorain. A brother Slyvester of York, Alabama. A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Willie Giles Sampson and Charlie Sampson. His wife Evelyn Sampson and daughters Vivian Noble-Toussaint and Eleanor Sampson.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday January 12, 2022, 10:00am until 11:00am, followed by "The Celebration of Life" at 11:00am at Carter Funeral Home 3001 Elyria Ave. Lorain Oh, 44055.
Interment at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain Oh.
