Eddie Carl Johnson

Eddie Carl Johnson, 67 transitioned from this life on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He was born December 29, 1957, to Charles Ransom Jr. & Creola Johnson in Elyria, OH. He was a graduate of Elyria High School and served in the United States Army. He was a Maintenance Supervisor for many years.

Eddie was a gentle, quiet man who loved his wife unconditionally, as well as his family. He loved his daughters, his grandkids and spending time with his family. His pastimes were baking, dancing, listening to music & watching sports.

Eddie leaves to cherish his memories; his father, Charles Ransom Jr. (Charlotte, North Carolina); his loving wife, Lauri of Elyria, OH; his daughters Lisa Allgood of Columbus, OH and Abegayle Reid of Elyria, OH; his granddaughter, Sa'Riyah Davenport and grandson, Omari Allgood of Columbus, OH; sisters; Brenda Jones (William) of Sheffield Village, OH; Gladys Johnson of Elyria, OH; Denise Ransom-Morris (Raleigh, NC) and Rhonda Ransom (Charlotte, NC); brothers, Cornelius Johnson, T. Arthur Johnson, Anthony Johnson (Turtrish), and Dennis Ransom, all of Elyria, OH.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Creola Johnson; sisters, Gloria Johnson, Gwendolyn Johnson, and Mary E. Skinner; and brother, Charles Ransom III.

Visitation will be held on Friday February 21st, 2025, at 10am with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11am located at Carter Funeral Home 127 W Bridge St in Elyria, OH.
