Dorothy Mae Gray

Dorothy Mae Gray, 88, of Lorain, went home to be with the lord on November 6,2022 at home. She was born May 3,1934 to the union of Wilbur & Frances Greene.

She was a lifelong resident of Lorain County, spending most of her life in Sheffield Lake. Ms. Gray was employed as an Instructor at Murray Ridge workshop for over 34 years.

She was a former member of Bethany Baptist Church in Elyria for many years. She enjoyed shopping, gaming, being with her grandchildren, family and friends.

She will sadly be missed by her daughter Andrea (Rickie) Lurry of Lorain, 6 grandchildren Rickie Lurry Jr. of Elyria, Latasha (Tierra) Phillips of Cleveland, Ohio, Jessica (Samuel) Lurry of Lorain, Danielle Lurry of Elyria, Rochelle Lurry of Georgia, Latoya Lurry of Lorain, 12 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Nephew Andre Campbell Sr. 1 Great- great Nephew Andre Campbell Jr. and 1 Great-great Niece Daisha Campbell.

 She was preceded in death by her parent’s Wilbur and Frances Greene, Brothers William and Louis Green, Sisters Geraldine Qualls, Margaret Greene, Aleise Greene and Gertrude Campbell, Niece Deborah Beard.

Services will be held on Saturday Nov. 12th,2022 at Carter Funeral Home, located at 127 W. Bridge St Elyria, Ohio 44035. Viewing will be from 9a-10a with services following immediately after. 

Repast to be held at Nettie's located at 3680 Pearl Ave Lorian, Ohio 44055.
