Dondi Wilson Obituary

Dondi Darnell Wilson (55) of Lorain passed away suddenly at home on May 3, 2020. A life-long resident of Lorain.

Dondi attended Lorain High School where he ran track, and attended L.C.C. studying CNC machinery.

Dondi formally worked for Burges Building, Lorain Metropolitan Housing, for many years and Home Depot.

He enjoyed rapping and entertaining his family and friends. He was excited when he was asked to appear on Studio 93. He had a contagious laugh, whenever you were in a room with him you, would laugh until you cry.

 He enjoyed working out at the gym and he thought he was the fastest in town. He was always ready to run a race with you in the street.

He loved detailing cars and would buy a new one every two years. Also, he loved building and fixing things for family and friends and for those who would approach him.

Dondi loved to watch Marvels Show and Movies, he loved to cook different meals and have everyone over to tastes his cooking.

Dondi is survived by his wife, Alica Wilson for 18 years; sons, Jordon Robinson, Dondi Elijah Wilson, Christopher Gutierrez; daughters, Tamara Renee Wilson of Lakewood, Donielle Fellenstein of College Station, TX and Tierra Thompson of Lorain; 5 grandchildren; mother, Peggy Wilson: sisters, Cheri (Rev. Otis) Jenkins, Audra English, Marilyn Knox (Missy), Melissa Stanford; brothers, Robbie (Cindy) Moore of Middletown, OH., Allen (Shawndale) Wilson of Lorain, Mike Shannon; god brothers, Henry Walker Jr., Ricky Melendez, and James Anthony Stanford, all f Lorain.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Stanford (Jimmy), and step-father, Joseph Wilson Sr.; daughter, Margarita Gutierrez (Ita); sisters, Misty Wilson, Lizette Meeshall Wilson Vernita Lynn Knox; brother, Joseph C Wilson Jr.; Paternal grandparents, George and Winnie Moore;; and Maternal grandparents, Charles and Ruby Stanford.; god-mother, Betty McCown.

Family and Friends may be received on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel 300 Elyria Ave, Lorain “DUE TO THE RESTRICTIONS OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS, SERVICES WILL BE PRIVATE.
