DeLorean Christopher Blakely Sr

DeLorean Christopher Blakely Sr. was born to Marsha A. Blakely and Eugene Sowell on November 21, 1986, and transitioned to be with the Lord on August 15, 2024. 

DeLorean was born and raised in Lorain, OH and attended Admiral King High School. He worked at MPW Industrial Services and grew to love working with his hands. As a result, DeLorean quickly became the "local" fix it all person.

Devotion to family was his motto and he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his cousins and friends.

DeLorean is survived by his wife, Toni Victoria Blakely (Pueblo, CO), sons Isaiah Blakely and DeLorean Blakely Jr. (Pueblo, CO), daughter Mar'Shay Blakely (Pueblo, CO), father Eugene Sowell (Lorain, OH), brother Dominique Blakely (Lorain, OH), sister Damichia Blakely (Columbus, OH), Pops Willie Mincy (Lorain, OH), uncles Timothy L. Blakely Sr. (Lorain, OH), and Preston Blakely (Columbus, OH), Alphonso (Fonz) Jones (Lorain, OH), aunt Dawn Conner (Columbus, OH), and cousins Alphonso Jones Sr. (Lorain, OH), Cory Jones Sr. (Lorain, OH), Mark Blakely Jr. (Lorain, OH), Elisa Jones (Lorain, OH), Aunt Jean Blakely, Great Auntie Betty Blakely (MD).

He was preceded in death by his mother Marsh A Blakely, grandmother Teddie Blakely, Aunt Lisa A. Jones, and Uncle Mark Blakely Sr.

The family will continue to cherish DeLorean's memory today and always.

All who wish to celebrate the life of DeLorean are invited to join the family on Saturday August 31, 2024, from 10"00am-11:00am at Greater St Matthews AME Church 1909 W. 24th St. Lorain, OH 44052 for visitation, followed by a memorial service at 11:00am
